How to Pack Everything You Need in Your and Luggage?

Usually, I’m a light traveler, but for years my hand luggage only was suitable only for a trip of maximum 2 weeks. For 3 weeks I needed a checked in luggage because things get complex already. I met people going around the world only with a hand luggage, but maybe that’s a bit too much for most of us.

Today I managed to fly one way with only a small 30l backpack and I’m proud of myself. Yes! I know, I became the hero of a lot of travelers around the world.

But did I get everything I need to?

Let’s look inside my bag and see what I’ve got:

Cloths:

  • underwear, socks (3 of each) + swimming suit
  • 2 dresses
  • 2 towers (big and small, both compact size of course)
  • 2 sets of pajamas
  • 2 camisoles
  • 1 skirt
  • 1 short
  • running gear: pants + t-shirt
  • polar fleece
  • rain and windproof jacket

Footwear:

  • running shoes
  • sleepers

Toiletries:

  • toothpaste + toothbrush
  • 2 dermatologic kinds of soup which are quite difficult to find, so I prefer to take them from home
  • shampoo
  • body cream
  • hair mask
  • hands cream
  • nail polish
  • nail file
  • mosquito repellant
  • lipsticks + makeup (pencil, mascara, and a small makeup kit)
  • makeup remover
  • wet napkins
  • tweezers

Electronics:

  • MacBookAir + External HDD + charger (I only took the charger; I left the extension at home)
  • Go Pro + its accessories (selfies stick, flowing sponge, bike handle, wrist gadget, and few small others) + charger
  • phone + charger
  • Kindle (I charge it with the phone charger)
  • Canon S100 + charger + 3  batteries
  • plug adapter
  • headphones
  • a hairdryer

Others:

  • first aid kit
  • passport + wallet with documents and some cash + small chance wallet
  • pen, highlighter
  • lock
  • earplugs
  • sleeping mask

What I didn’t get into my bag:

  • sunscreen, since I go for a long trip and I plan to surf, I will need a big one, so it’s better to get it at my destination
  • nail polish remover – it’s inflatable and you can’t take it in the plane
  • sandals or a more elegant footwear – I’m not convinced I need them,
  • face caring set (women are women everywhere), the ones I have at home were over and didn’t get the chance to get new ones before leaving

It looks like I got everything I need for at least a month in Portugal.
